Preliminary information from the investigation indicates the Impala was traveling west on Griggs and the Trailblazer was headed south on Hermosa. The investigation indicates the Trailblazer ran a stop sign and was struck broadside by the Impala.

The Trailblazer then rotated before rolling over at least once. The driver of the Trailblazer, a 24-year-old woman, did not appear to be wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police will not release the identity of the deceased until family has been given adequate time to share the news.

The driver of the Impala, a 22-year-old woman, was not seriously injured.

The intersection is temporarily blocked while traffic investigators gather evidence and map the scene.
