Picacho Residents between Quesenberry Street and Motel Boulevard Asked to Evacuate, Shelter in Place

Las Cruces police are investigating a shooting and a barricaded subject at a motel on the 1700 block of west Picacho Avenue.

The incident occurred shortly after 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

The scene is active with the suspected shooter barricaded inside a motel room.
