DALLAS – Following yet another individual title, junior standout Emma Bunch has been named the Conference USA Women’s Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Wednesday. This marks the fourth time that Bunch has claimed this award this season and the ninth time in her career.

Bunch continued her stellar career with her second individual title of the season – taking home the crown at the Spring Break Shootout hosted by Western Kentucky. At Lake Jovita Golf Club, Bunch shot a 67 (-4) in the second round before shooting a 66 (-5) in the final round to bounce back from a 76 (+5) in the opening round of competition.
The win marks her seventh victory of her collegiate career which makes her the program’s all-time leader in individual titles. This is also her 18th consecutive top-25 finish and 12th top-10 finish in her last 14 starts. In total, she now has 17 top-10 finishes and nine top-three finishes in her career.
This week, she also paced the field of 75 women in total birdies with 14 to help the Aggies finish in a tie for third as a team which represented their second straight third-place finish.
This marks the fifth golfer of the week award of the season for NM State after Angela Garvin earned the honor last week.
