This will mark the third meeting between NM State and Kennesaw State this season.

After a final round on Tuesday, the Aggies finished tied for third (+39) among the 15-team field to post their best finish as a team this season.

The Cardinals capitalized on timely hitting, including a two-run double from Zane Spinn and a two-RBI double by Tab Tracy.

With most players cards fully filled, the Aggies (-1) find themselves in second place on the team leaderboard with 18 holes to play.

Sixth-seeded NM State will take on fourth-seeded Kennesaw State in the Quarterfinal round of the CUSA Championships on Thursday, March 13 at 4:30 p.m. MT in Huntsville, Ala. 

With the first two rounds in the book, the Aggies (+22) are slotted in fourth place while Houston (-3) has a strong hold on the top spot on the leaderboard.

Kaiser was the catalyst to the Aggies 2-0-week victory over LA Tech and Sam Houston State.

NM State (17-14, 10-8 CUSA) took to the Pan American Center and Lou Henson Court one final time in the 2024-25 season as they played host to the Sam Houston Bearkats (12-16, 5-13 CUSA).

The Aggies return home to Las Cruces, where they will host I-25 rival New Mexico on Mar. 15 at the NM State Tennis Center. 

The Aggies tallied eight hits, including a home run en route to a 5-0 victory.

The Aggies secured a thrilling 4-3 win over Nevada before falling 4-2 to the host Hornets. 

The Aggies rose to the occasion, controlling the game from start to finish in a 67-55 victory over Louisiana Tech (19-11, 8-9).

In a high-scoring final frame, Kaiser took over, scoring at will and knocking down clutch free throws.

Earlier this season, they made a statement with a dominant 78-48 victory over the Bulldogs – their largest margin of victory in conference play this season and the most lopsided win in program history against LA Tech. 

NM State fought back again in the ninth, with Solorzano delivering an RBI single, but the rally was cut short as the Aggies stranded two runners to end the game.

While it took nine frames, the Aggies prevailed over the Bulldogs by a score of 5-4, doing so off a solo home run from Kristiana Watson.

The loss drops the Aggies to 7-4 on the season and puts an end to their five-game home winning streak.
