The Aggies will close out their regular season in Phoenix, Ariz., at Papago Golf Club, where Arizona State University will host the PING/ASU Invitational.

This becomes her second academic award this season as she has just previously earned All-Academic All-Conference two weeks ago.

 Itay Feigin and Holland Snell were both honored for their efforts, capping off a strong finish at the NM State Tennis Center. 

This past week, Thomas recorded a third-place finish at the UC San Diego Invitational to help guide the Aggies to their second team title of the season.

In Tuesday’s final round, the Aggies shot a combined five-under to finish the week with a total score of 885 (+21) at Torrey Pines South Golf Course.

The Aggies showcased strong performances from Fanta Gassama and Molly Kaiser, with Gassama dominating the paint for 22 points and eight rebounds, while Kaiser poured in 20 points of her own. Despite a late-game push, NM State struggled to overcome the Bisons’ free-throw shooting down the stretch.

NM State who tallied NMSU’s first WNIT victory in program history on Thursday looks to grab another win against Summit League Opponent, North Dakota State, to qualify for the round of 16.

On the day, Thomas carded four birdies to serve as one of eight players in the 111-man field to end the day with four-plus birdies.

With the victory, the Aggies clinched the series win against the Flames to tally their first Conference USA series win of the 2025 season.

The Panthers (24-9, 7-2) took the series, improving to 17-2 since Feb. 22. The 3-2 defeat dropped NM State to 18-14 overall with a 5-4 mark in CUSA play.

Recording a top finish and posting a school record in the 1500 meters on Friday, Rachel O’Brien tallied another first-place result in the 800m.

Despite taking control of a late lead, NM State fell just short in a 6-5 loss to Liberty on Friday evening at Liberty Baseball Stadium.

The Aggies fell to the hosting Panthers by a score of 8-6, dropping to 17-13 overall with a 4-3 mark in CUSA play.

The Aggies will round out their Louisiana road trip with a matchup against conference foe LA Tech in Ruston.

With the victory, NM State concludes its regular season and turns its attention to the Conference USA Championship, set to take place April 18-20 in Lynchburg, Virginia, on the campus of Liberty University. 

The Aggies improved to 11-10 on the season, while the Spartans fell to 10-10.

Leading the way for the Aggies was Emma Bunch, who dominated the field with a three-round total of 209 (-4) after closing the tournament with a stellar 66 (-5) in the final round.

NM State submitted a combined score of 878 (+14) to end the week four strokes ahead of No. 22 Mississippi State.

The Aggies showed vast improvement in round two, posting a 292 (+8) after opening with a 304 (+20) in the first round.

In the first round of the tournament, NM State will go head-to-head against West Coast Conference opponent, Pacific.

The home team utilized six hits and three Gamecock errors to plate five runs; all of which came via three home runs.

The Aggies battled back from an early 5-0 deficit to secure a walk-off victory in the bottom of the ninth inning, with Austin Corbett delivering the decisive blow.

The Aggies battled throughout the afternoon but were unable to overcome the Lobos’ strong showing in both doubles and singles play.

Making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018, Liberty earned the No. 13 seed in the Spokane Regional 4 and is set to head to Lexington to face No. 4 seeded Kentucky in the first round.
