A Ribbon Cutting ceremony for a new park, Highland Park, will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 4615 Emerald Street.

Invited speakers include Las Cruces Mayor Eric Enriquez and Council District 5 Representative Becky Corran.

The new 6-acre park includes a walking trail and other sustainable features like solar lighting and a paver parking lot.

The total cost of the project was $2 million. The ribbon cutting will include light refreshments, music, and games.

The ribbon cutting will be broadcast on the City’s YouTube channel and on the City of Las Cruces Facebook Page.
