Chip seal is heated asphalt liquid sprayed on the surface of a road, followed by small chips. Chip sealing helps extend the life of asphalt by protecting the pavement from the effects of sun and water, increasing skid resistance, and filling small cracks and other surface defects.
Motorists are encouraged reduce their speed around maintenance areas, pay attention to signs and follow the guidance of road traffic control staff. The County appreciates residents’ patience while repairs are completed and courtesy toward Road staff.
