Doña Ana County and National Fitness Campaign, NFC will hold a ribbon-cutting launch of the much-anticipated Fitness Court® in Vado/ Del Cerro at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 28, at the Vado/Del Cerro Community Center, 180 La Fe Ave. in Mesquite.

This capital project is a featured part of the 2024 initiative launched by National Fitness Campaign, NFC, a nationwide wellness consulting firm that partners with municipalities and schools to plan, build and fund Healthy Communities. NFC’s award-winning initiative is now planning its 500th Healthy Community in America and is poised to deliver vital outdoor wellness programs helping to fight the obesity epidemic across the country.
Created for adults ages 14 and older, the new Fitness Court® at Vado/ Del Cerro is the world’s best outdoor gym, adaptable for all fitness levels. It allows users to leverage their own body weight to get a complete workout using seven stations. Fitness Court users can access world-class workouts on the free Fitness Court App, available for iOS and Android.
“We encourage all adults to enjoy the Fitness Court. I was encouraged to see that it is accessible for different abilities and fitness levels, so everyone can use it,” Dist. 2 Commissioner Diana Murillo said. “Free and open to all residents, the Fitness Court is ready for use.”
