In preparation for the upcoming monsoon season, Doña Ana County reminds residents that free sandbags are available for pick up.

While the weather is hot and calls for sunny days ahead, residents are encouraged to plan for the upcoming monsoon season and proactively prepare to help protect homes and property from potential flooding.

Below, please find a list of locations where up to 10 empty sandbags are available, per resident, while supplies last:

  • Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 1 – 601 Doña Ana School Road Doña Ana, NM 88032. Distribution: daytime hours.
  • Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 2 – 1055 E. O’Hara Road Anthony, NM 88021. Distribution: daytime hours.
  • Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 9 –  500 E. Lisa Drive Chaparral, NM 88021. Distribution: daytime hours.
  • Doña Ana County Fire and Rescue Station 17 – 8014 Airport Road Santa Teresa, NM 88008. Distribution: daytime hours.
  • Las Cruces Fire Station 1 – 201E Picacho Ave. Las Cruces, NM 88001. Distribution: daytime hours.
  • Office of Emergency Management – 1170 N. Solano Dr. Suite O, Las Cruces, NM 88001. Distribution:  9:30 am to noon, June 24 to 27 and July 1 to 3.
  • Sunland Park Fire Department Station 1 – 1030 McNutt Rd Sunland Park, NM 88063. Distribution: daytime hours.
  • Sunland Park Fire Department Station 2 – 5650 McNutt Rd Sunland Park, NM 88063. Distribution: daytime hours.
