| Women’s Business Center Application Readiness and Procurement Assistance Funds organizations establishing Women’s Business Centers to assist women entrepreneurs with application readiness for certification in the Women-Owned Small Business and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business Programs, procurement assistance, and entrepreneurial development. Deadline August 7. |
| NM PTAC: Contract Ready Series Part I: 8/2 from 9-11 am Understanding Solicitations Part II: 8/2 from 1-3 pm Proposal Writing Part III: 8/9 from 9-11 am Labor Law Compliance Part IV: 8/9 from 1-3 pm Estimating and Pricing Part V: 8/23 from 9 am – 12 pm Contract Administration The Route 66 Extraordinary Women Micro-Grant Awards up to $60,000 to businesses and attractions, owned or operated by a woman or a group of women, located along Route 66. The program is part of the Road Ahead Partnership’s efforts to celebrate the upcoming Route 66 Centennial. Deadline: August 26. Solar Energy Supply Chain Incubator FOA Funds research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) projects that de-risk solar hardware, manufacturing processes, and software products across a wide range of solar technology areas. Activities will support the government-wide approach to the climate crisis through innovative deployment of clean energy technologies. Deadline: October 8. |
| This Week’s Highlight: New Mexico Match Fund |
| With an initial appropriation of $75 million, the New Mexico Match Fund will leverage once-in-a-generation federal funding for infrastructure, research, economic development, energy transition, and other projects that foster healthy communities. The DFA fund will offer three grant opportunities, each with a separate application: Matching Grant – for eligible entities that require additional funding to meet the minimum match requirement for a federal grant. Project Implementation Grant – for recipients of a Matching Grant that require capacity funding to fully implement the associated federally funded project. Federal Compliance Offset Grant – for eligible entities that demonstrate higher project costs due to compliance with federal funding requirements. State agencies, Tribal governments, counties, municipalities, and political subdivisions, including public schools and councils of government, are encouraged to apply. A recording of the comprehensive application process training will be available on the website. Applications are now open and will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. | Local Infrastructure Hub Grant Application Bootcamps Small and mid-sized municipalities can receive expert support to develop strong, competitive grant applications through pro-bono technical training and grant-writing bootcamps. |
| Underserved and Veteran Farmers 2501 Program Grants to community-based and nonprofit organizations, higher education institutions, and eligible Tribal entities with at least 3 years of experience working with socially disadvantaged farmers and ranchers or veteran farmers and ranchers. Informational webinar on June 26. Deadline: July 5. Rural Decentralized Water System Grant Program Helps individuals with moderate to low income finance the costs of household water wells and individually owned decentralized wastewater systems. Funds must be used to establish a revolving fund to provide loans or sub grants to eligible individuals. Deadline June 28. A Cultural Approach to Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country Supports community-chosen, family-centered cultural practices to build resilience and connections to community, family, culture, and wellness, as well as policy, systems, and environmental changes to build clinical-community linkages to support screening and assessing for chronic diseases and their risk factors. Deadline June 28. National Farmworker Jobs Program Grants for Housing Services Facilitates the delivery of housing solutions that are responsive to eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their dependents’ immediate and near-term needs. Deadline June 28. National Forest Community Recreation Fund Prioritizing 60% of funds for initiatives in Justice40 communities, the Forest Service is actively advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in agency-managed lands, particularly in conservation and outdoor recreation program delivery. Eligible expenses include gear and gear library needs, employees/contractors, curriculum development, permits, partnerships with outfitters and guides, transportation, and more. Deadline: June 30. Community Facilities Technical Assistance and Training Grant Funds public bodies and private nonprofits to provide technical assistance and/or training in essential community facilities programs and help identify and plan for community facility needs that exist in their area. Deadline July 3. Disability Innovation Fund Creating a 21st-century workforce of youth and adults with disabilities through the transformation of education, career, and competitive integrated employment. Deadline: July 8. |
| Rural Community Development Initiative The RCDI structure requires the intermediary (grantee) to provide a program of financial and technical assistance to recipients to develop their capacity and ability to undertake projects related to housing, community facilities, or community and economic development. Qualified private, nonprofit and public (including Tribal) intermediary organizations proposing to carry out financial and technical assistance programs will be eligible. Deadline: July 10. |
| Community Development Block Grant Program for Indian Tribes and Alaska Native Villages The primary objective is the development of viable Indian and Alaska Native communities, including the creation of decent housing, suitable living environments, and economic opportunities primarily for persons of low-and moderate-incomes. Deadline: July 15. |
| Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program New Mexico licensed teachers working in high-need fields and schools statewide may be eligible for up to $6,000 per year for two years toward principal debt and interest on federal student loans related to teacher education. Deadline August 1. Charging and Fueling Infrastructure Grant Program Funding to strategically deploy publicly accessible electric vehicle charging and other alternative fueling infrastructure. This grant program has two tracks: Community Charging and Alternative Fueling Grants (Community Program) Charging and Alternative Fuel Corridor Grants (Corridor Program) Deadline: August 28. Composting and Food Waste Reduction Pilot Program Financial assistance to municipalities, school districts, counties, local governments, special district governments, Tribal governments, or Tribal organizations to carry out food waste reduction and composting objectives.
