Tuesday, Emma Bunch added to her dominant stretch of play in 2024 as she earned the individual title at the Golfweek Fall Challenge after posting a 68 (-3) in the final round to finish at 7-under across the three-day tournament. With the win, Bunch has now won six times in her last seven starts with her first win coming on Feb. 28, 2024, at the GCU Invitational.
Bunch led the way for an Aggie team that climbed one spot on Tuesday to finish ninth on the team leaderboard with a final score of 884 (+32). Bunch’s final round matched the lowest of any player in the 93-woman field and included six birdies to help her conclude the tournament one stroke clear of the next-closest competitor.
The ANNIKA Award Watch List honoree began her day on a tear – recording birdies on four of the first six holes to put herself in position to contend for the championship. Despite a double bogey on 16, Bunch’s lead would prove to be enough and allowed her to earn her first trophy of the new season.
NM State’s Marley Moncada would be the next Aggie to appear on the leaderboard as a round which included an eagle on 15 would help her finish 14-over-par after 54 holes and in a tie for 52nd.
