Organizers ask news organizations to respect the privacy of families and victims who may be seeking assistance.
Las Cruces Digest has never sought “victim statements”. We respect the privacy of our neighbors, as well safeguarding the legal and procedural need of law enforcement to “withhold” certain information which some may be interesting, but not necessary. It is the editorial position of the Las Cruces Digest to trust local authorities to provide the details necessary for public safety. Any story published on this website that does not comport with this position will be clearly labeled.
If you or your family has been directly impacted by this tragedy, Las Cruces Digest strongly recommends reaching out to the community and taking advantage of all resources being made available.
