Motorists who frequently utilize Del Rey Boulevard are encouraged to be on the lookout for construction workers who will be installing a fiberoptic line beginning Monday, June 1, 2024.

Installation of the fiberoptic line begins Monday, June 17, and is anticipated to be completed by Tuesday, June 25. Work will temporarily close one northbound lane of traffic on Del Rey Boulevard between Northrise Boulevard and Bataan Memorial East.
Crews will maintain access to nearby businesses during the project and Roadrunner Transit routes will not be affected. This project is taking place in Las Cruces City Council District 5.
