Fire Damages Mobile Home on Karen Avenue in Las Cruces

An unoccupied mobile home in the 300 block of Karen Avenue was damaged by fire Thursday, Feb. 22, 2024.

The fire, in a mobile home park, was reported to the Las Cruces Fire Department shortly after 10:20 a.m. Thursday. Las Cruces police and ambulance service were also called to the scene.

Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire while police evacuated adjacent mobile homes. No one was injured because of the fire.

There wasn’t an immediate determination of how the fire started, and its cause continues to be investigated.
