Las Cruces firefighters extinguished a fire that damaged two travel trailers late Wednesday afternoon.

About 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, fire crews were dispatched to the report of fire coming from two travel trailers on the 1300 block of McFie Avenue.

Firefighters searched the structures and quickly attacked the fire. The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes and crews determined the structures were unoccupied.

No injuries were reported.

The fire damaged both travel trailers and endangered two mobile homes along with numerous outbuildings. The cause of the fire and damage estimates have yet to be determined.

The fire temporarily displaced two adults who lived on the property.
