GREEN BAY, Wis. – WKU cornerback Upton Stout was selected in the third round (100th overall) by the San Francisco 49ers as the first Conference USA player off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Stout was one of the premier defensive backs in the league, earning First Team All-CUSA honors for his efforts. He recorded 52 tackles, including 7.5 tackles for loss and a sack, along with an interception, a pass breakup and three quarterback hurries. Although he didn’t participate in the Reese’s Senior Bowl contest, Stout was named an American Team Player of the Week among defensive backs during practices.
