HAWK Signal Crosswalk on Picacho is Now Operational

Motorists and pedestrians who frequent west Picacho Avenue in Las Cruces should be aware that a new HAWK signal crosswalk is now operational.

The HAWK signal crosswalk is on west Picacho Avenue at 4th Street. The lighted crosswalk, in City Council District 4, went into operation on June 18, 2024.

Motorists are advised to watch for the HAWK signal when pedestrians are utilizing the crosswalk. Pedestrians are encouraged to use the new crosswalk for safe passage north and south across Picacho Avenue.
