Homeschool Recreation Program in Las Cruces

The Parks & Recreation Department will offer a Homeschool Recreation Program on select Tuesdays and Thursdays from Tuesday, April 9, 2024, to Thursday, May 30, 2024.

Youth can register online for a four-week session, or they can pay in person per drop-in, on classes offered. Children participating in the program will learn valuable physical and social skills that will last a lifetime.

This program will be from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center, 304 W. Bell Ave. This program will be on a first-come, first-serve basis with participation limited to 12 youths to one recreation coordinator.

The program schedule and registration details:
Ages: 5 to 17 years old.
Fee:  $3 per drop-in or $15 per four-week session (each child).
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays ONLY.
 
First Sessions:
Tuesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 11.
Tuesday, April 16 and Thursday, April 18.
Tuesday, April 23 and Thursday, April 25.
Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 2.

Second sessions:
Tuesday, May 7 and Thursday, May 9.
Tuesday, May 14 and Thursday, May 16.
Tuesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 23.
Tuesday, May 28 and Thursday, May 30.

Registration for the Homeschool Recreation Program starts Tuesday, April 2, 2024. When online registration begins, click here.

In-person registration also will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday beginning Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Frank O’Brien Papen Community Center. Each class has limited availability.
