Conserve Water Las Cruces KIDS is a interactive event for kids to learn about water conservation and get hands on participation with soil, seeds, fungi and much more!

Kids are invited to the Las Cruces Utilities Demonstration Garden to learn about water conservation and have fun with other hands-on activities.
The event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 680 N. Motel Boulevard (Demonstration Garden located at Las Cruces Utilities). Kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Join in on the following activities:
- Make seed balls, plant one and take one
- Learn to make organic compost for your garden
- Check out 10 packets of seeds from Tierra Sagrada Seed Library Mobile Unit
- Make newspaper planters
- Learn about Good fungi and bad fungi
- Learn about important pollinators and interact with live bugs with NMSU Arthropod Collection Curator
