DALLAS – Kennesaw State’s Prencis Harden and Liberty’s Avery Mills earned Conference USA Women’s Basketball weekly honors. The 2024-25 Players of the Week are voted on by the league’s sports information directors.
CUSA Player of the Week – Prencis Harden, Kennesaw State – Sr. – F – Swainsboro, Ga.
Harden led the Owls to their first-ever two-game win streak in CUSA play as she pushed her consecutive double-double streak to four straight games. For the week, she averaged 18 points and 15.5 rebounds per game while shooting 44% (11-25) from the floor and 78% (14-18) at the free throw line. In a 68-66 win over New Mexico State, she shot 6-of-12 from the floor, 9-of-13 at the line, while tying her season-high with 16 rebounds. With the score tied at 66-66 with 45 seconds left, Harden provided the eventual winning free throw. Against UTEP, in an 84-70 victory, she posted 15 points and 15 rebounds.
CUSA Freshman of the Week – Avery Mills, Liberty – G – Milford, Del.
Mills played an impactful 16 minutes off the bench during Liberty’s 83-54 triumph over FIU, contributing 14 points, three rebounds, two assists, two steals and a blocked shot. She scored five points during a 9-0 run spanning the first and second quarters which gave Liberty the lead for good. Mills helped Liberty’s bench outscore FIU’s reserves, 42-10.
