With a final score of 57-32, the Knights move to the semifinals round to face off with 11-seed Albuquerque High. Albuquerque High finished 2nd in district play, hot on the tail of the very Los Lunas Tiger team dispatched in today’s match up with the Knights. The Bulldogs of Albuquerque High have been on a roll of late, having lost their last game last month in a one-point heartbreaker against district rival Santa Fe.
The Knights only loss of the season has come at the hands of Volcano Vista. It’s been almost 30 games since that loss, and the chance of a rematch with the Hawks in the championship game is good motivation to stem any momentum Albuquerque High has accumulated.
The match between the Knights and the Bulldogs will take place at 4:45 on Thursday, March 14 at “the Pit” in Albuquerque.
