* Hot mix is a type of asphalt made by heating a sticky material from oil and mixing it with small rocks. This creates a strong, smooth road surface that can handle heavy traffic and harsh weather without breaking down.

* Chip seal is heated asphalt liquid sprayed on the road’s surface, followed by small chips. Chip sealing helps extend the life of asphalt by protecting the pavement from the effects of sun and water, increasing skid resistance and filling small cracks and other surface defects.
