Wipes of all kinds should be thrown in the trash and not flushed down a toilet even though packaging may indicate they are are “flushable.” Wipes can cause sewage backups in your home, your neighbor’s homes and they can clog City wastewater facilities. LCU will be leaving door hangers at homes in the neighborhoods of the lift stations that are being clogged to remind residents “Please Do Not Flush Wipers of Any Kind.”
