INDIANAPOLIS – Making its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2018, Liberty earned the No. 13 seed in the Spokane Regional 4 and is set to head to Lexington to face No. 4 seeded Kentucky in the first round. The TV broadcast and tip time will be announced at a later time.

The Lady Flames captured their first CUSA Basketball Championship title with a 53-48 win over No. 2 Middle Tennessee on Saturday night in the final contest of the 2025 CUSA Basketball Championships. 

Bella Smuda was named the tournament MVP after she capped off the week recording her seventh double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds, along with three blocks in Saturday’s contest. She averaged 12.3 points and 8.0 rebounds per game over three games in the tournament, shooting 42.3 (11-of-26) percent from the floor in 81 minutes of play.
