As a part of a Flood Commission project, Lomas Avenue in the Del Cerro community will be temporarily closed on May 27 to install a storm drain structure.

Lomas Ave. closure scheduled starting May 27

Doña Ana County, NM – As a part of a Flood Commission project, Lomas Avenue in the Del Cerro community will be temporarily closed on May 27 to install a storm drain structure. The work will last for 45 days.

Only traffic from Calle De La Cruz will be impacted. Signage will be visible and a detour will reroute local traffic around the project area.

Cristo Avenue, closed since mid-February to install a storm drain and concrete structure as a part of the Lily Pond Project, will be reopened prior to the start of the Lomas Ave road work.

Drivers are advised to take caution while driving in the construction area and urged to drive at reduced speeds.
