Make Music Day, Friday, June 21 – Free Music in the Park Concert

The City of Las Cruces is proud to participate in Make Music Day, a global celebration that takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make and enjoy music. More than 100 U.S. cities will host thousands of Make Music performances during the 2024 event on Friday, June 21.

Make Music Day began in France in 1982 as the Fête de la Musique and has spread to more than 1,000 cities across 120 countries. The Parks & Recreation Department’s Music in the Park Series will host this year’s concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024 at Young Park, 1905 E. Nevada Avenue. This year’s Make Music Day concert will feature local bands Radio Malilla, and Proud Pete.

Bring your chairs, sit back, relax, enjoy the music, and help celebrate Make Music Day 2024. The City’s Music in the Park Series features performances by local, regional, and national musicians with free concerts from Memorial Day weekend to the end of August.
