Jacob Wayne Gill, 42, is charged with one felony count of sexual exploitation of a child. Gill was arrested Thursday, April 25, 2024, and is initially being held without bond at the Dona Ana County Detention Center.

Investigators learned of eight cyber-tips over the span of six months that indicated suspected child pornography was uploaded to a cloud-based storage account belonging to Gill. Investigators obtained search warrants and discovered multiple images of prepubescent children on the account.

As part of their investigation, detectives were able to confirm that the cloud-based storage account was owned and operated by Gill.

Investigators have reason to believe there may be victims residing locally. Anyone who has reason to believe a child may be a victim of such a crime is asked to call police at (575) 526-0795.
