The 2024 Championship season has begun with two of the three girls teams advancing.
Mayfield topped Clovis 31-28 at home, advancing to play 4-seed Volcano Vista at “the Pit” in Albuquerque on March 12. This match starts early–9:45 a.m.
The Lady Knights of Organ Mountain High School outlasted Carlsbad 51-47 at home in “the Castle”. They now travel to Albuquerque to face off against 3-seed Farmington. This match will be held at “the Pit”, and starts at 1:15 p.m.
The Lady Bulldawgs of Las Cruces High School fell hard on the road to top-seeded Hobbs, 68-29. Congratulations, Ladies, for a hard fought season.
Tomorrow, it’s the Boys’ turn.
