TEXARKANA, Ark. – NM State wrapped up the second day of action at Texarkana Country Club where it currently sits three strokes over par to sit in sixth place with 18 holes to play. After 36 holes, the Aggies are five strokes out of fourth place.

With one round to play, NM State will need to work its way into the top four in order to earn a spot in the match play event beginning on Thursday to keep their hopes at a conference title alive. Currently, Liberty (-6) paces the field and will begin the final day with a four-stroke lead over Middle Tennessee (-2).
Individually, Aidan Thomas followed a 70 (-2) in the first round with a second straight 70 (-2) to end the day in a tie for second and just one stroke back of Liberty’s Ike Joy. In the second round, Thomas tallied three birdies while recording just one bogey.
Javier Delgadillo also ended the day among the top 10 and shooting a 72 (E) to enter the clubhouse in a tie for eighth place alongside Middle Tennessee’s Luke Perkins.
Meanwhile, Ethan Klose posted a 73 (+1) and will enter the final round in a tie for 25th among the 43-man field. Like Klose, Bauduin tallied a 73 (+1) to move up three spots on the leaderboard and into a tie for 34th. Mateo Payan rounded out the group of Aggies with a 77 (+5) and is in 40th place.

NUMBERS OF NOTE
- The scoring average improved in the second round as players averaged a score of 73.07 on Tuesday after posting an average score of 73.45 on Monday. As a team, the Aggies also improved on the second day to maintain an average score of 73.00.
- On Tuesday, the easiest hole on the course was hole 7 as 19 players recorded a birdie with 40 players tallying a par or better on the 525-yard par 5.
- Hole 3 played as the most difficult hole on the course on the second day of play as no players recorded a birdie on the 227-yard par 3.
- On Tuesday, Javier Delgadillo was one of just two players in the field to card a birdie on the 220-yard par 3.
- Ethan Klose ended the day as one of only two players to birdie hole 9.
- Currently, Javier Delgadillo is one-under on the course’s par 3s to rank tied for second among the field.
- Aidan Thomas is five-under on the par 5s this week which ranks tied for first among the field.
- Both Aidan Thomas and Javier Delgadillo have tallied 26 pars this week to rank tied for third among the field.
- As a team, NM State is maintaining an average score of 3.20 on the par 3s to rank tied for third among the field.
