The doubles point was hard-fought, with two of the three matches going down to the wire. Lance Urlaub and Tobias Wallin delivered a clutch performance on court two, grinding out a 7-5 win to keep the Aggies in the hunt for the opening point. Itay Feigin and Matias Rojas came up short in a 6-4 decision on court one, while Holland Snell and Roko Stipetic narrowly fell in a heartbreaking 7-6 tiebreak on court three—ultimately handing the Eagles the doubles point and an early edge in momentum.

The Aggies responded with a valiant fight in singles, securing three wins to keep the match within reach. Snell took care of business with a 7-6, 6-3 win on court three, Urlaub delivered a straight-set win on court five (6-4, 6-4), and Stipetic battled through three sets to win 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 on court six.

With the match tied 3-3, all eyes turned to court two, where Tobias Wallin was locked in a marathon three-setter. Despite a hard-fought effort, Wallin came up just short in a 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 defeat that clinched the victory for NC Central.

With the loss, NM State’s season comes to a close. The Aggies conclude their campaign with heads held high after a determined showing on a postseason stage in their first apperance since 2018.
