Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses Scheduled

Mental Health First Aid will help you identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance abuse disorders. It is an 8-hour certification class that is being offered throughout the county at NO COST.

This is blended course, meaning participants will need to complete approximately 2 hours of Pre-course work online prior to the day of scheduled training.

The ‘Adult-English’ class is designed for anyone 18 years of age or older, who speaks English, and wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. (Other classes will be available in Spanish.)

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is skill-based training that teaches people how to understand and respond to signs of mental illnesses and substance use disorders. 

The Adult MHFA course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health related crisis or problem. Adult MFA classes will be conducted at the DAC Government Center on the following dates:

The Youth MHFA course is designed for adults who regularly interact with adolescents (ages 12-18) and could help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations. Youth MHFA classes will be conducted at the DAC Government Center on the following dates:
