INDIANAPOLIS – Molly Kaiser closed this past week out with an impressive résumé for the Crimson & White. Against NM State’s long-time rival New Mexico, the fifth-year Aggie finished with a combined two-game total of 55 points, including a 30-point outburst on Sunday. En route to winning her second 2024-25 CUSA Player of the Week award, Kaiser led her squad to its first sweep of their in-state rival in nine seasons.

In 20 free-throw attempts, she finished with 18 makes at the charity stripe for a 90% shooting rate from the line. Kaiser also tallied three steals, eight assists, and 11 rebounds in the rivalry weekend sweep over the Lobos.

Among all of Division I, Kaiser currently ranks 16th in points per game (20.6), 13th in total free throws made (53) and 34th in total points scored (199) this season.

In addition to Kaiser, the NCAA also selected Juju Watkins (USC), Mikaylah Williams (LSU), Tiara East (Temple) and Lauren Ross (Purdue Fort Wayne) to its Starting Five for Week 5. The Watauga, Texas native is the first Aggie to earn the national honor.

Having won three of its last four games, NM State (6-3) will next travel to Tarleton State on Monday, Dec. 16. The matchup with the Texans will tip off at 10:00 AM MST as the Aggies begin a five-day stretch with three games in three different states. The action will be streamed live on ESPN+ and available to follow via nmstatestats.com.
