The 2024-2025 academic sports year was filled with exciting moments for our broader community. In the end, four teams brought home the highest accolade in high school sports–the blue trophy that comes with a state championship.
This listing of championship teams does not scratch the surface of all accomplishments by individual athletes, nor does it encapsulate the triumphs experiences by our local teams. A more detailed examination of how our local teams fared will be included in the forthcoming “Copa de Vecinos” Countdown. Until then, congratulations goes out to Centennial Boys Soccer, Centennial Softball, Las Cruces High School Volleyball and Mesilla Valley Christian School Boys Golf.

Some may argue the military is simply following orders of the Executive Branch; however, there is no authority granted to the Secretary of Defense nor the President of the United States to unilaterally deploy the military against American citizens or sovereign states.
