Riding the momentum of a three-match win streak that featured consecutive shutouts, NM State looked to keep their dominance alive as they hosted Lamar on Friday morning. The Aggies did just that, cruising to a 4-0 victory and securing their fourth straight shutout.

The Aggies set the tone early in doubles play. The pairing of Montana Parkinson-Lubold and Lisa Zhu made quick work of their opponents, as did the duo of Nadia Nemeth and Anna Pinaieva. Nemeth and Pinaieva defeated Megan Do and Asta Miettinen 6-1, while Parkinson-Lubold and Zhu posted an identical 6-1 victory over Arina Gudovskaya and Luana Paiva to clinch the doubles point for NM State. Meanwhile, the team of Whitney Moon and Dora Kurdi were on the verge of victory, leading 5-2 before their match was called with the point already secured.
NM State carried their momentum into singles play, continuing to dominate the Cardinals. Anna Pinaieva secured the first singles win, overpowering Miettinen 6-1, 6-1. Montana Parkinson-Lubold followed with a hard-fought victory over Emma Palus, finishing 6-1, 7-5. Nadia Nemeth then sealed the victory for the Aggies, defeating Martina Alcaino 6-3, 6-3 to clinch the match and secure NM State’s fourth consecutive win.
