The Aggies fell behind early as UNM secured wins in doubles play at No. 1 and No. 2 to secure the doubles point. The duo of Whitney Moon and Lisa Zhu did hold their own as they led 5-2, however, their match remained unfinished.

Over in singles action, Moon battled her way to a commanding 6-1, 6-2, win over Maria Sodre at No. 6 to secure her third consecutive singles win while also evening the match at one point apiece. NM State then briefly took the lead as Anna Pinaieva managed a 6-0, 6-2, victory at No. 2.
