Overnight lane closures are planned on north Main Street at the intersection of Elks Drive and north Triviz Drive from Monday, Feb. 12, 2024, to Friday, Feb. 16, 2024.

This road work is a NMDOT project.

From 9 p.m. each evening to 5 a.m. the following morning crews will be removing the existing traffic signal at the intersection of north Main Street and Elks Drive and north Triviz Drive. A temporary traffic signal will be installed.

During this work, the right lane of north Triviz Drive, east of U.S. 70 and north Main Street, and the right lane of U.S. 70 and north Main Street, north of Triviz Drive will be closed. There may also be other occasional lane closures across U.S. 70 and north Main Street, north Triviz Drive, and Elks Drive for crews to pull equipment across these roadways.

As needed, a flagman will be nearby to direct traffic. Access will be maintained to all businesses during this work.

The speed limit is 35 mph throughout the construction zone. Motorists are urged to be patient, expect delays and look out for construction crews and equipment.

Motorists also should be aware that all construction is dependent on weather conditions and is subject to change without notice.

Residents and motorists are encouraged to stay in the loop! Get information or sign up for free construction updates at www.us70mainstreet.com or at www.nmroads.com.
