The Alumni Association of New Mexico State University announced the seven recipients of the Outstanding Graduate Award, representing each college of the university plus the Graduate School.

These Outstanding Graduate Award winners exemplify the best and brightest of the class of 2024 spring semester:

  • Sophia Fuentes, College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences
  • Atlantis Moses, College of Arts and Sciences
  • Nate Mullenniex, College of Business
  • Guillermo Juan-Daniel Soltero, College of Engineering
  • Irwin Yonathan Ramirez Diaz, College of Health, Education and Social Transformation
  • Sandra Oduro, Graduate School, College of Arts and Sciences, Master’s 
  • Tingting Tong, Graduate School, College of Arts and Sciences, Doctoral 

Deans and nomination committees select honorees based on their outstanding academic accomplishments, notable leadership abilities and extracurricular commitments. Each student will be acknowledged during the NMSU spring 2024 Commencement ceremony.

“These students are not only academically accomplished but have also proven themselves dedicated to service and leadership,” said Sylvia Y. Acosta, NMSU Foundation CEO. “They have excelled in their fields of study and beyond and demonstrated a passion for positive change. We can’t wait to see how these Aggies will make an impact in the world.” 

The NMSU Alumni Association’s Outstanding Graduate Award is a respected and enduring tradition at the university and a significant distinction for its recipients. This semester’s winners will be recognized at the Outstanding Graduates Luncheon Friday, May 10, on the NMSU Foundation website at www.nmsualumni.org and on the @NMSUAlumFriends social media pages.
