As temperatures drop, the City of Las Cruces is committed to ensuring the safety and comfort of all residents by providing accessible warming stations. The National Weather Service has indicated frigid temperatures continuing through Friday, January 24, 2025.
City facility warming stations will be activated on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. The City invites anyone in need of warmth and shelter to visit our designated facilities during the following times:
- Frank O’Brien Papen Center, 304 Bell Avenue
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday - Meerscheidt Recreation Center, 1600 E. Hadley Avenue
8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday – Friday - Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Avenue
9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday – Thursday
10 a.m. to 6 p.m Friday - Munson Senior Center, 975 S. Mesquite Street
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday - Safe Café, 6121 Reynolds Drive
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday - Benavidez Center 1045 McClure Road
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday – Friday
