This week, we proudly celebrate Mr. Chuck Gallegos, a teacher at Lynn Community Middle School, as he completes his 35th year of teaching, all of which have been dedicated to the students and community of Lynn!
As the school’s Engineering teacher, Mr. Gallegos is known for going far beyond the classroom. Each year, he creates unforgettable learning experiences for his students.

This year alone, he led 100 students on an educational trip to the Hoover Dam, where science, engineering, and classroom learning come to life. He thoughtfully ties these real-world opportunities to his lesson plans, ensuring students first build foundational knowledge through instruction, then deepen their understanding through hands-on application.
It’s rare to see Mr. Gallegos without a smile or a laugh as he believes education should be fun, and he brings that energy to every lesson, every day. When asked what continues to motivate him after more than three decades, he shared “It’s just fun to watch students learn every day — and no two days are ever the same.”
Mr. Gallegos is a shining example of what it means to thrive in education, combining joy, expertise, and innovation in everything he does. Thank you for keeping the gears of curiosity turning, Mr. Gallegos — you’re the blueprint for what it means to thrive!
