Add color and excitement to your world by participating in the Summer Reading Program that runs June 1 through July 13 at Las Cruces Public Libraries.

The “Color Our World” Summer Reading Program kicks off June 1 and will celebrate the new season with a party from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library, 200 E. Picacho Ave. Adults and children can join the fun and get pictures taken with Bluey the Dog from E-Mazing Characters and Rentals. The kick-off party is sponsored by the Friends of the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library. Therapy dogs and a whirlwind of family activities are part of the kick-off party. Various community partners will also participate in the event.
This year’s Summer Reading Program theme is “Color Our World” with activities and programs that will highlight art and colors. The free program allows participants to earn prizes for reading or listening to books. Prizes can be redeemed starting June 8 and can be collected through July 31.
