Doña Ana County seeks a volunteer to serve on the Planning & Zoning commission. A vacancy became unexpectedly available, and the selected candidate would serve the unexpired term, through April 30, 2025.

This seven-member board of volunteers review land-use and development matters in public hearings twice a month.

The Planning & Zoning Commission meetings are generally held 9 a.m. to noon, on the second and fourth Thursday of each month in the Commission Chambers at the Doña Ana County Government Center, 845 N. Motel Blvd.
Matters that historically have come before the commission include variance requests to land use requirements, special use permit designations, zone changes, subdivision review and approvals, appeals of staff decisions, reports to the Board of County Commissioners, and recommendations related to amendments or changes to the County’s comprehensive plan and Unified Development Code.
