Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County is asking for the public’s help identifying two perpetrators who broke into and burglarized the American Legion Post on Valentine’s Day.

Shortly before 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, two people broke into the American Legion, at 1185 E. Madrid Ave., stole a replica firearm and caused an estimated $16,000 in damages to the building.
Investigators from the Las Cruces Police Department are trying to identify the two suspects – both of whom are believed to be men.
Surveillance photos of the two suspects are not being released by police at this time.
Anyone with information that can help investigators identify either one or both suspects responsible for the burglary is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Las Cruces-Dona Ana County.
Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the suspects and allows tips to be provided anonymously.
Anyone with information that can help in this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be provided through the Las Cruces Crime Stoppers app, “P3 TIPS.” The app is available through the App Store on most devices.
