Centennial faced off against District 3/5A rival, Mayfield, and came out unmarred on the season. The undefeated Hawks now face 2-seed La Cueva for a spot in the championship.
Centennial vs. La Cueva
After falling in Round 1 to the same La Cueva team, the Bulldawgs of Las Cruces High School faced off against Alamogordo for the 4th time. Having lost two-of-three in District 3A play, the Bulldawgs had an opportunity in the big show to even up against the Tigers.

The Bulldawgs started strong; however, the Tigers came back to take the lead in th bottom of the 6th. The Las Cruces High School Bulldawgs were having none of it, answering with 9 runs to punctuate their 7th inning showing. Alamogordo had no answer.
The Bulldawgs now face a Mayfield team recovering from their loss to Centennial.
