On May 13-15, the Brewers hosted the Pirates in a three-game series which featured both Nick Gonzales (Pirates) and Joey Ortiz (Brewers). Kyle Bradish (Orioles) also earned his third start in the 2024 season on Wednesday, May 15.
In the series versus the Pirates, Ortiz recorded five hits and one RBI. Ortiz recorded two doubles and one home run which resulted in his one RBI. In the final game of the series Ortiz was perfect at the plate earning two hits on two at-bats with two walks and one hit-by-pitch.
Gonzales recorded three hits in the series with one hit each day. In the second game of the series, Gonzales hit a two-run homer, his first home run of the season. Brewers won the series winning the last two games of the three-game series.
Kyle Bradish – Orioles
The righty has made three starts for the Orioles on the mound. He has pitched a total of 13.2 innings only giving up four runs on 12 hits. Bradish has racked up 17 strikeouts only walking six batters.
Nick Gonzales – Pirates
Gonzales has played in six total games for the Pirates all at second base. He has a .235 batting average with a .690 OPS. In 17 at-bats Gonzales has racked up four hits with four RBIs and one home run.
Joey Ortiz – Brewers
Ortiz has had a great season thus far playing in 39 total games for the Brewers. Ortiz has a .277 batting average with 26 hits. Ortiz has drove in 12 total runs for the Brewers. Ortiz has two triples on the year which puts him in fourth in the NL.
