SANTA FE – The Taxation and Revenue Department has scheduled delinquent property tax auctions in Cibola, McKinley, Quay, and Taos counties during the month of May.

The state attempts to collect delinquent property taxes when counties are unable to collect for themselves. The state notifies delinquent taxpayers about the taxes due and planned sales of delinquent property. If the state is unable to collect the delinquent taxes, the subject properties are auctioned for sale.

Auctions have been scheduled in the following counties:

  • Cibola County, 10 a.m., May 14, 2025, at Cibola Auction Site, 515 West High Street, Grants, NM 87020.
  • McKinley County, 10 a.m., May 15, 2025, at McKinley County Courthouse, 207 West Hill Avenue, Gallup, NM 87301. Conference Room, 2nd floor.
  • Quay County, 10 a.m., May 28, 2025, at Quay Auction Site, 300 South 3rd Street, Tucumcari, NM 88401.
  • Taos County, 10 a.m., May 29, 2025, at Taos County Auction, 105 Albright St., Taos, NM 87571.
