The presentations begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Conference Room 2007-A at City Hall, 700 N. Main St. The public is welcome to attend presentations.

Artists were tasked with designing a concept proposal for a site-specific outdoor art piece to beautify the 10-acre park located off Sonoma Springs Avenue. The park features amenities like a children’s playground, open lawn space and basketball courts against a beautiful view of the Organ Mountains.

Finalists were selected by the art selection committee from a pool of 154 submissions to the EMPRC call for artists. Each presentation is allocated 30 minutes per artist:

  • 1 p.m. Artist 1
  • 1:45 p.m. Artist 2
  • 2:30 p.m. Artist 3
  • 3:15 p.m. Artist 4
  • 4 p.m. Artist 5 (tentative)

The selected design will be presented to the City Art Board at their next public meeting and to City Council, for final approval, at a future public meeting.
