The Museum of Art is hosting a group discussion with several of the featured artists in “LUSTER: Realism and Hyperrealism in Contemporary Automobile and Motorcycle Painting” at 5:30pm next Friday, June 6, during the Artists Reception. Guests will have the opportunity to hear the artists talk about their work and creative processes. The Participating artists include A.D. Cook, Cheryl Kelley, Marc G. Jones, and John E. Schaeffer.
“LUSTER” showcases more than 55 paintings by 14 of today’s leading realist and hyperrealist artists who specialize in paintings of vintage classics, up to contemporary automobiles and motorcycles. This national touring exhibition is on view at the Las Cruces Museum of Art from Friday, May 23 through August 16.

Exhibiting artists in the exhibition include: A.D. Cook, Randy Ford, Allan Gorman, Marc G. Jones, Cheryl Kelley, Richard Lewis, Lory Lockwood, Robert Petillo, Kris Preslan, Joseph Santos, Ken Scaglia, John E. Schaeffer, Guenevere “Moto Painter” Schwien, and Harold Zabady.
