The Las Cruces Regional Aquatic Center, 1401 E. Hadley Ave., will temporarily close the activity and warm water pools beginning on Monday Nov. 4, 2024.

The temporary closure is required to resurface the shells of both pools and was approved as part of the Parks and Recreation 2024-2025 budget. Additional yearly and scheduled maintenance will also be performed to include an annual inspection.

The Regional Aquatic Center was built in 2009. A pool shell generally lasts for 10 years and the pool is overdue for resurfacing.

The Las Cruces Natatorium, at 1405 E. Hadley Ave., will remain open to the public for extended hours.
