The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DASO) began conducting sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols at the beginning of May and will continue through the end of the month, in an effort to reduce the number of crashes, injuries and deaths related to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).

The Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office (DASO) began conducting sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols at the beginning of May and will continue through the end of the month, in an effort to reduce the number of crashes, injuries and deaths related to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).

Checkpoints will be in undisclosed locations and areas, within Doña Ana County, between the hours of 12 p.m. and 2 a.m. Deputies will look for all types of violations, with an emphasis on intoxicated drivers.
