LAS CRUCES, N.M. – After producing a strong finish in the 2024 season and closing out conference USA play with a 5-2-2 record, the Aggies prepare for yet another challenging fall schedule.
The squad will kick off the 2025 campaign by hosting Mountain West opponent, Grand Canyon on Aug. 9 in an exhibition game on its home turf.

From Aug. 21-Sept. 4, the Aggies will face a tough test as they look to take on five separate major conference schools in a row. This will start with the Aggies welcoming Arizona, which is coming off one of its best seasons in recent history. Following the matchup with the Wildcats, the Aggies will head to Los Angeles, Calif., where they will play USC. Both teams faced off last season and finished the match in a tie, 2-2, as returning Aggie, Meredith Scott would score in the final minute to bring the Crimson and White back from a 2-0 deficit.
NM State will then begin a stretch of three road bouts against Big 12 opponents, including two against 2024 NCAA Tournament participants. First, the Aggies will travel to take on Colorado on Aug. 28 to take on a Buffs team who reached the Round of 32 last season. This will be followed by a trip to Tucson, Ariz., where NM State will collide with Arizona State Sunday, Aug. 31.
The Aggies then conclude the road swing with a meeting against the squad’s final major opponent, Texas Tech, which will make its first trip to Las Cruces in program history. The Red Raiders finished last year second in the Big 12 standings and earned a victory over LSU in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. This matchup will undoubtedly be a testament to the Aggies strength of the season.
On Sept. 7, the Battle of I-25 rivalry will continue as both teams from the Land of Enchantment will meet at the NM State Soccer Complex. Last season, the Aggies snagged the win over the Lobos with a score of 3-1 in Las Cruces and will look to claim their first set of back-to-back wins over their in-state rival.
The Aggies will begin the CUSA season at home against Sam Houston on Sept. 20. This will mark the second straight season that the Aggies will begin league play against the Bearkats.
They will remain at home to host new CUSA opponent, Delaware, which finished with a 6-7-6 record in the CAA conference last season. This will represent the first-ever meeting between the Aggies and Blue Hens.
Three days later, the Crimson and White will go head-to-head versus Liberty in Las Cruces. The last time the two teams met was in the semi-final round of the 2024 CUSA tournament where the Aggies fell to Flames, 1-0.
The first conference road game will be played in Jacksonville, Ala., as the Aggies head to Jax State following the matchup against Liberty. Last year, NM State defeated the Gamecocks in the first round of the 2024 CUSA tournament with a dominating score of 4-1.
The Crimson and White will host Senior Night on Saturday, Oct. 11, against LA Tech to finish out the 2025 home season.
The final fall matches for NM State will be on the road as the Aggies will travel to Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky on Oct. 16, and Oct. 19, respectfully. This will lead up to the regular season finale against I-10 rival UTEP on Saturday, Oct. 25, in El Paso, Texas.
The 2025 Conference USA Championship will be hosted by Liberty in Lynchburg, Va., on Nov. 2-7.
